ARECA SA, a leading garment manufacturer based in Bucharest, Romania have awarded a major contract to Manchester based XeBusiness Ltd (XeB) to implement a leading edge real time production control system for shop floor manufacturing management.
The XeB real time production control system (Xe-RTS) is a world class IT manufacturing solution that allows shop floor operatives to increase productivity (gains of up to 25% reported from users), closely track and optimise work in progress, monitor time and attendance and optimise capacity and production scheduling in real time; i.e. as events on the shop floor are actually occurring. The system is totally flexible allowing changes to production priorities to be made 'on the fly'.
Alexandru Mihei, Director General of Areca who was part of the team that initiated the project and then appointed XeB to implement said:
"We evaluated the XeB product and concluded that it will supply the real time production information we require to support our best practice manufacturing programme. We were also impressed by the ROI - under a year - for the system. The fact that we will also be able to seamlessly exchange information electronically with our UK partner Cookson and Clegg (another XeBusiness client) is a bonus."
